Overview
Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Community Specialist at our Evening Learning Center in Berrien County, Michigan. At Rite Care, we provide after-school intervention to at-risk youth. Students will participate in evidence-based groups, skill building, tutoring, mentoring, case management and other structured activities during the time of day that is highest risk for antisocial behaviors. Rite Care operates as a diversion program for youth at risk of involvement with the Juvenile Justice System, or those who are currently involved and need additional community support. What you will do
Community Specialists are members of the Rite Care Team and are responsible for the planning, implementation and oversight of the Program. Leading groups, daily monitoring, contact and supervision of the youth assigned are key responsibilities. This position reports to the Program Manager and Program Director. Qualifications
BA/BS in a related field required. 1 year of prior experience working with at-risk juveniles and their families, or other related experience. Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical and TB test. Schedule
Monday through Friday from 12pm–9pm. Occasional weekends may be necessary for special events. Compensation and Benefits
Pay: starting at $50k/year Perks & Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and company-paid Life Insurance within 90 days, and 401(k) match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more.
