Instructional Designer

We are seeking an Instructional Designer to support the Health Support Center (HSC) team at Lifepoint Health. The role focuses on developing and delivering training courses across our healthcare organization, using Articulate software and LMS platforms.

Schedule & Location Days: Monday‑Friday. Job Location: Remote.

Responsibilities

Designs and builds creative, interactive, and educational training courses, manuals, videos and visual aids around provided content.

Assesses training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and reports outcomes.

Applies adult learning principles in course development and delivery.

Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates responsive programs and initiatives including training plans, curriculum, and methodology.

Uses strong organizational, planning, problem‑resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills.

Works with subject‑matter experts to design Articulate‑authored training.

Coordinates schedule for monthly, quarterly, and annual education and reports on participation.

Uploads all content and training courses to the Learning Management System and troubleshoots LMS issues.

Maintains records of training activities, employee progress, and program effectiveness.

Determines training objectives and instructional strategies based on analysis of the target audience.

Collaborates with subject‑matter experts to enhance current training initiatives.

Assists operations with training needs.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.

Experience:

3–5 years of training and development experience.

Intermediate experience with Articulate Software required.

3–5 years of LMS administration experience; HealthStream or SuccessFactors preferred.

Healthcare and clinical training development preferred.

Project management experience preferred.

Additional requirements:

Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.

Instructional Design experience required.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
