Human Resources - Compensation Specialist

Overview As a Human Resource Compensation Specialist, you will provide professional support in all areas of Human Resources with a primary focus on compensation and analytics. Responsibilities include day‑to‑day administration and management for the Human Resources team, processing and updating data in the HR management system, administering compensation, serving as a liaison during the compensation approval process, and verifying that all actions are consistent with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will also assist Human Resources leaders with compensation planning activities, such as reporting, metrics, and dashboards, resolve compensation‑related problems, coordinate pre‑employment, assist with events (associate recognition, holiday events, recruiting events), and perform generalist HR processes (onboarding, orientation, off‑boarding, recognition, community activism).

All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

2+ years of experience in a related field.

Knowledge of key HR functions such as compensation, or employment.

Desired Qualifications

PHR/SPHR certification.

4+ years of relevant job experience in human resources.

Skills and Abilities

Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues.

Ability to think creatively and meet challenges with resourcefulness.

Ability to interact with others in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

Ability to prioritize competing demands and effectively manage multiple tasks and/or projects.

Ability to set expectations on delivery dates and milestones.

Ability to interpret documents and information such as that contained with policies and procedure manuals.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment

Office setting with traditional hours.

Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours).

Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head‑neck‑shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
