Position Summary The Piping Designer III is responsible for creating, revising, and coordinating piping design deliverables that support engineering, management of change (MOC), and construction activities. This role provides technical design support across all project phases, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and ensures piping designs meet industry standards and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create and revise piping drawings throughout design and MOC processes

Assemble complete piping design packages for construction use

Provide piping design support during all phases of assigned projects

Track and report progress for current and future piping projects

Perform field walkdowns to verify existing conditions and support design accuracy

Collaborate effectively with engineering, construction, and project teams

Work safely in both office and active refinery/industrial environments

Required Qualifications

Several years of experience in a piping design role

Strong knowledge of piping standards, methods, and industry best practices

Experience with 3D piping modeling and point cloud workflows

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to safely perform field work in an industrial environment

Associate degree in a related field

or

equivalent years of piping/design experience

Software & Technical Skills Required:

AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software)

CADWorx Plant (or equivalent piping design software)

Proficiency with standard computer applications

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

Leica CloudWorx (or equivalent)

Navisworks

AutoCAD Plant 3D

Falcon

SAP

Leica point cloud technologies

Industry Experience

Required:

Prior experience in a similar piping design role

Preferred:

Experience in refining, petrochemical, or comparable heavy industrial environments
