Overview Role: New Business Development Lead, Sales Location: New York City (LIC Office) Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing Comp Range: $80,000 - $100,000 + Commission (7% commission target) Role Overview The New Business Development Lead is a commercially driven sales professional focused on identifying, pursuing, and closing new revenue opportunities for Manic Panic—domestically and internationally. This is primarily a hunter role: building pipelines, opening new doors, and expanding Manic Panic’s footprint across retail, professional, e-commerce, and distributor channels. The role also maintains a select portfolio of existing key accounts to support continuity and growth. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who can both think strategically and execute flawlessly. Key Responsibilities New Business Development Identify, pursue, and close net-new accounts across domestic and international markets Build and manage a robust pipeline; track health, conversion metrics, and activity in CRM Execute outbound prospecting via cold outreach, social selling, trade shows, and industry events Manage the full sales cycle—from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and close Develop territory and market-entry plans; prioritize and pursue high-potential prospects Account Management & Growth (Existing Accounts) Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for an assigned portfolio of existing accounts during an initial transition period Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, surface risks, and identify growth opportunities Deepen relationships with buyers, planners, and category managers to strengthen Manic Panic’s position within each account Identify and pursue upsell, cross-sell, and shelf expansion opportunities within the existing base Coordinate with internal teams on promotions, new item setup, and seasonal programs for assigned accounts Sales Presentations & Negotiations Deliver compelling pitches and presentations tailored to buyers, distributors, and retail leaders Negotiate terms, promotional programs, and long-term partnership agreements Attend trade shows and off-site meetings, domestic and international, as needed Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Operations to align on launches, promotions, and fulfillment Coordinate with Retail Marketing and distributors on product setup, onboarding, and brand training Reporting & Performance Deliver accurate sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and market performance analysis Monitor account and territory performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis Additional responsibilities as needed Who You Are A driven hunter energized by prospecting, pipeline building, and closing Equally comfortable forging new relationships and navigating complex organizations A global thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment Passionate about vibrant beauty, self-expression, and the Manic Panic lifestyle Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary + performance-based commission Health, dental, vision Paid time off & holidays Brand product allowance Opportunities for domestic and international travel About Manic Panic Manic Panic is the original, iconic creator of vivid and expressive hair color. Qualifications 6–10+ years of experience in sales or new business development, ideally in beauty, personal care, or consumer lifestyle brands Demonstrated track record of building pipeline and closing new accounts; experience with major retail or global accounts a plus Proven ability to meet or exceed multimillion-dollar revenue targets International sales experience and understanding of regional market dynamics Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Strong business acumen—comfortable interpreting data and driving strategy Organized, polished, and at ease engaging with executives, partners, and founders Must be based in the New York City metro area #J-18808-Ljbffr
