We are looking for a camp coach with an athletic or coaching background who ideally has experience in summer camps or coaching kids ages 4 - 9 KidStrong Camp Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from a designed camp curriculum Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp Camps typically run when school is out, from 9 am - 2:30 pm; hours may vary depending on location; the ideal candidate will be available during those hours Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours and KidStrong Class coaching; may require additional training Coach Responsibilities
Camp sizes of up to 20 children, ages 4 - 11 Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team Ensure camp starts and ends on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum Greet students and parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to camp Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading camp Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times Ensure cleanliness of the center including lobby, bathrooms, and floors; take out trash, sweep and mop, wipe down equipment, and sanitize the mat at day’s end Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.) Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, and check messages when not in centers Complete training through LearnUpon as required by HQ Training and Certification team Work in a physically intensive environment; coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift, lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds Be comfortable working hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and student safety Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director Obtain camp-certified status from the HQ Training and Certification team Provide supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers while ensuring well-being of all children Job Qualifications
Passion for working with children is non-negotiable Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred CPR certified Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills Self-starter who just gets the job done If you enjoy the spotlight, this position was meant for you Compensation: $100.00 per day KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old.
