Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization, time‑management, and retailer-relationship skills while representing Hallmark. You’ll collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally you may work with other companies’ products in the stores you serve.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $17.00 to $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.
We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other options.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours for this position are between 7 and 10 hours.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a Hallmark‑provided mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory in and outside the Hallmark department. Utilize technology for communication with supervisors, time reporting, feedback, and surveys.
Holiday support: During leading holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours, including weekends and the holidays themselves.
Department resets: Participate in installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Receive two‑week advance notice of remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Support other merchandiser professionals across territories as needed.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding role that requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and possibly climb stairs and step ladders throughout the day.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Able to read, write, and understand English.
Capable of consistently lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Proficient in operating a digital hand‑held device to read documents and interpret information.
Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
Access to reliable transportation to and between assigned stores on schedule.
