Social Media Growth Intern
Nichols College, Dudley, MA, United States
DTC Experts is a fast-growing events and media startup that connects founders and executives from leading brands through large-scale events in NYC, LA, and Las Vegas.
Founded by a Dartmouth graduate and former private equity investor at Goldman Sachs, DTC Experts has raised over $1 million in seed capital to expand into new industries and create the next generation of large-scale event experiences. We’re building something ambitious — combining technology, community, and creativity to shape how the world’s most influential industries connect and grow.
Role Overview We’re hiring a Social Media Growth Intern to own and grow our social presence ahead of a major event launch. This is not a scheduling‑posts role. We want someone who lives on social media, instinctively understands what makes content spread, and has the strategic brain of a growth marketer.
You’ll have full ownership of our LinkedIn and Twitter/X accounts — building our audience from the ground up, crafting content that resonates with founders and executives, and turning our event launch into a social moment people talk about. If you’ve grown an account before, know what a hook looks like, and get genuinely excited by engagement metrics — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Work On
Own DTC Experts’ LinkedIn and Twitter/X accounts end-to-end
Develop and execute a growth strategy to build our audience ahead of the event launch
Identify content formats, posting cadences, and engagement tactics that drive follower growth
Study what’s working in adjacent spaces and bring those insights into our content strategy
Content Creation & Virality
Write and publish content that captures attention — hooks, threads, carousels, short‑form posts
Tap into cultural moments, trends, and conversations that are relevant to our audience
Experiment constantly: test different formats, angles, and styles to find what hits
Turn event news, speaker announcements, and industry trends into shareable content
Community & Engagement
Actively engage with followers, industry accounts, and relevant conversations
Build relationships with key voices in our target communities
Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions to grow an active, engaged following
Analytics & Optimization
Track performance metrics and report on growth, reach, and engagement weekly
Use data to iterate on what’s working and cut what isn’t
Bring a growth marketer’s mindset to everything — always asking how to do more with less
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (all majors welcome)
Demonstrable experience growing a social media account — personal, brand, or otherwise
Deep familiarity with LinkedIn and Twitter/X as platforms
Strong writing skills — you can write a post that stops the scroll
Culturally plugged in and aware of what’s trending before it’s mainstream
Self‑directed and comfortable with full ownership and accountability
Bonus: experience with social analytics tools, paid amplification, or creator networks
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Commitment: ~15–20 hours/week during the semester
Compensation: Paid internship (hourly or project-based depending on schedule)
Why Join Us You’ll have real ownership over social accounts that matter — not busy work. You’ll work directly with the founder and have a front‑row seat to how a startup launches a major event from scratch. If you grow our accounts and the content lands, that’s a portfolio piece you can point to forever. This is an opportunity to build something real, fast.
