
Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative – Ashland LLC, Dublin, OH (remote after initial training)
Responsibilities
First point of contact with clients, providing step‑by‑step solutions with patience and a tailored approach to each customer
Process customer purchase orders via the direct order entry system
Maintain customer profiles including billing, shipping, product, Incoterms, and special requirements
Provide clients with resources or additional information on products and services
Execute strategies to pursue cost savings and commercial excellence
Respond to customers’ needs for inventory, PO status, pricing, and freight information
Process and follow up on customer complaints related to orders, invoicing issues, returns, and quality
Process debit, credit, and return invoices, and review them for accuracy and completeness
Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, including Sales, Production, Logistics, and Quality departments
Qualifications
Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Critical thinker able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment; must be able to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
Excellent follow‑up skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and Windows 7–10
Experience navigating Internet Explorer and Chrome
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Experience with SAP (a plus)
Experience with Microsoft Outlook (a plus)
Experience with a CRM tool (SFDC‑SalesForce) (a plus)
