Overview DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1964, the 550-acre suburban campus is located about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,000 includes undergraduate day, evening, and graduate students. Position Summary The assistant director responsibilities include counseling and support services for students enrolled in the Adult Studies program at DeSales University. Position involves the evaluation of transcripts for students, advising, program development, student progression analysis, administration, and assessment. Work closely with Enrollment Management and other designated University personnel to provide fully coordinated student experience for the students. Contact students in a timely manner, facilitate orientation sessions, follow up with active and inactive students is a major part of this position. Additional duties as assigned by the Associate Dean and Dean, including assisting with advising of MBA Students.

Qualifications

Effective oral presentation and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with strong aptitude for detail.

Willingness to work flexible hours in late afternoon and early evening and weekends as necessary to satisfy needs of students and program.

Computer proficiency required

Able to independently and proactively develop opportunities to problem solve across the university

Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete assignments in a timely fashion
