About the Role
As a Visual Merchandiser, you contribute to an inspiring, elevated, and consistent customer experience by implementing visual standards and commercial excellence. You will execute visual, commercial, and styling curation according to guidelines, use trend and competitor awareness to provide colleagues with accurate information, and coach and develop the store team.
Responsibilities Customer Sales & Profit
Contribute to the total OMNI customer experience by ensuring visual and commercial curation according to guidelines.
Represent yourself and the H&M Brand positively during customer interactions.
Organize and plan workload according to the store activation plan, adapting based on business needs with Store Management and Area Visual Manager.
Launch and maintain global campaigns and sale activities on time.
Ensure good garment care, stock levels, and provide input on allocation.
Follow up sales reports, identify and prioritize visual & commercial opportunities.
Create effective actions to increase customer satisfaction and reach sales targets, store goals, budget, and follow‑up actions.
Follow all procedures, best practices for OMNI services, operational routines, legal requirements, and communication.
Fashion & Trend Awareness
Stay up‑to‑date with fashion scene, trends, styles, products, brands, competitors, and relevant influencers.
Plan time for fashion & trend awareness to understand trend theory and mood boards for styling techniques.
Team & Development
Educate store teams on seasonal changes, fashion trends, visual & commercial information, and in‑store communication.
Coach and develop the Store team’s visual and commercial skills to meet high‑quality presentation standards.
Support and develop daily routines and best practices for the Store team.
Onboard and provide training to new colleagues.
Carry out visual & commercial upskilling for yourself and colleagues.
Complete Visual Competencies & Commercial 4 All trainings.
Support Sales Market and Area teams with store project needs.
Visual & Commercial Execution
Execute visual & commercial curation and styling based on the commercial calendar, allocation, store activation plan, and fashion trends.
Pursue best practices for sample picking and stockroom garment quantities.
Secure window and styling execution to create inspirational customer experience.
Maintain commercial layout, fixtures, and price signs in windows and throughout the store.
Work with Facilities Management to ensure proper lighting.
Maintain display forms and interior material with sustainability in mind.
Ensure navigation is kept up to date.
Provide sufficient sale and POS material.
Keep sales floor and back of house clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
Curious, creative, proactive, solution‑focused, flexible, and effective communicator.
Fashion‑interested with leadership skills to apply visual and commercial experience.
Solution‑focused in improving product presentation and commercial execution.
Knowledge of visual, commercial, and operational best practices and tools.
