Salary: $43,680.00 – $69,900.00 USD annually
General Function The Personal Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. This role processes teller transactions and works as a member of the platform staff, helping customers to understand and address their financial needs with a consultative sales and service process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Build a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or other channels.
Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved.
Analyze customer credit data and related financial information to ensure customers are in appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
Provide customer support reinforcing the value of current and new technology.
Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling ethical behavior expected of every employee.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
Business acumen.
Ability to make sound decisions.
SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Working Conditions
