Call Center Representative
Location: East Syracuse, NY (13057)

Pay Range: $17–19 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

About the Company We are one of the top 3 largest HVAC manufacturers in the world, often cited as the #1 HVAC market share in the USA. We serve all of North America, including Canada. Our customer base is end users of our equipment. We are considered "the factory" and manufacture heating and cooling equipment. We then sell the equipment to a distributor who sells to a dealer or contractor. The dealer or contractor installs it in the customer's home. Instead of the homeowner reaching out directly to the dealer, they will call Carrier for assistance. We will also get dealers looking for their distributor so they can obtain parts or technical support.
Responsibilities
Dealers referrals – connect inbound customers with dealers that can provide sales or service; warm transfer to a dealer.
Ensure the homeowner is connected with the dealer.
Provide customers with warranty information.
Product comparison.
Dealer referrals to distributors.
Act as a switchboard for the company: use a database to help refer customers to the appropriate department.
Triage customer service complaints at Tier 1 and transfer to Tier 2 representatives.
Triage remote access or Wi‑Fi capable products such as thermostats.
Qualifications
6+ months experience handling inbound calls in a call center environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Typing speed 35–45 words per minute.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High school diploma or GED.
Pass a background check.
Pass a drug screen.
Customer Service Call Center or CSR experience.
