
Part-Time Student Photographer/Videographer, Union Board, Indiana Memorial Union

Overview
The Union Board Marketing team seeks a creative, flexible Photographers/Videographer to cover university events, produce engaging content for social media, and support marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Storyboards, edit, and creatively enhance videos into professional formats in collaboration with the Marketing team.
Create short‑form content (TikTok/Instagram Reel) using CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Suite.
Edit video footage with Adobe Premiere and other Adobe Suite products.
Collaborate with Marketing Leads and Directors to brainstorm project solutions.
Photograph and record events and programs for instant social media use and archiving.
Photograph people, places, and scenes to support marketing campaigns.
Edit and share photo collections timely (including same‑day edits) with Directors and the team.
Maintain photo library structure to optimize search capabilities.
Participate in meetings, critiques, and brainstorming sessions as needed.
Education & Requirements
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
Solid understanding of DSLR cameras, lighting, and audio capture.
Experience editing videos with Adobe Premiere.
Experience creating interactive graphics with Adobe After Effects.
Experience editing photos with Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Photo Mechanic.
Experience creating short‑form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
Flexible schedule to cover evenings, weekends, and office hours.
Attention to detail, professionalism, dependability, respect for colleagues.
Strong decision‑making skills, teamwork, curiosity, and creativity.
Effective written and communication skills.
Ability to accept constructive criticism.
Preferred
Desire to continuously improve photography and videography skills.
Extensive experience photographing events in varied environments.
Experience with video, video editing, and digital image editing.
Comfortable directing others, including staff and management.
Understanding of effective marketing tactics.
Work Hours & Pay
Approximately 10‑12 hours per week; flexible based on availability and departmental needs.
Some evenings and weekends required.
Hourly rate: $15.00.
Work‑study eligible position.
In‑person work.
