North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a
Mold Maker – III
to join our team. The ideal candidate will work blueprints and drawings to build and repair thermoplastic and thermoset injection molds to company standards.
Your Priorities
Works with Supervisor, Tool Engineer, Designer and Shop Foreman to understand job scope.
Works with the Scheduler to develop job schedule.
Works with and direct the work of Manual Machinists to complete work.
Maintains a detailed time collection to track the amount of hours required to build required molds.
Performs conventional machining as follows:
Lathe work – turning, drilling, threading
Tool Sharpening
Mill work
Surface grinding
Welding
Drilling
Tapping/Threading
Polishing
Performs conventional machining of details and assembly of molds.
Requirements Your Background
Associates Degree in Tool and Manufacturing Technology or a related discipline, plus 5 to 8 years of experience building Thermoplastic injection molds OR
High School Diploma or GED, plus 8 to 10 years of experience building Thermoplastic injection molds.
Experience working in automotive lighting and a JIT manufacturing environment is preferred.
