Collateral Specialist Bank of Bird-in-Hand is actively seeking a
Collateral Specialist
to join our team in Paradise. This position is responsible for assisting the Loan Servicing Manager and the Loan Operations Department in a variety of critical functions as listed below. This includes collateral insurance monitoring and the accurate filing, recording, safekeeping, and timely release of collateral on loans.
Responsibilities
Prepare collateral modifications and collateral releases.
Review new mortgages and record them to the county of record. Calculate mortgage recording fees and fund the Bank’s checking account from appropriate GL. Save image of recorded mortgage to the loan record via Bank’s imaging system.
Monitor the portfolio for closed loans. Send cancelled note to borrower, prepare satisfactions and/or terminations as appropriate, and cancel life of loan flood certificates. Record mortgage satisfactions to the county of record and save image of recorded satisfaction to the loan record via Bank’s imaging system.
Monitor LoanOps email box for payoff requests and prepare payoff statements. Calculate recording fees and charge fees to the loan.
Send third‑party payoff requests and maintain supporting documentation in synergy.
Review new vehicle loans and record lien on title via third party website. Track in core system.
Assist in monitoring Title/Mortgage/HUD‑1/CD Tracking report and contact title companies for past‑due items.
Scan, file, and index loan documentation to Synergy.
Preferred Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups across the company.
Good interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills and detail oriented.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three or more years of Loan Operations Experience.
Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
