Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to join our team at Third Federal. This role will be responsible for growing Third Federal lending business by acquiring, retaining and expanding relationships through its realtor networks, working with branch associates, making lead generation calls, and being involved within the community. This is a fully onsite role.
Responsibilities
Generate and originate quality residential mortgage loans in the Northeast Ohio market to help Third Federal Savings serve the housing needs of the communities it serves.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with bank branches, real estate professionals, builders, centers of influence, community-based organizations, etc. to build a pipeline of referral sources.
Actively participate in realtor/builder/chamber/organization that have direct business applications.
Interview loan applicants on mortgage financing to choose a product best suited to their needs; complete mortgage applications, follow through to closing, and resolve any issues.
Ensure exceptional customer service and documentation.
Maintain relationships and contact with real estate professionals, community partners, and referral sources on a regular and consistent basis.
Document all calling activities made into the Contact Management system.
Work closely with branch management to educate associates on all loan programs and loan products.
Support branch network by assisting with lead‑follow‑up and loan applications.
Lead branch loan meetings to encourage understanding of all loan products and assist with pipeline management.
Requirements
2‑3 years of recent experience originating residential mortgage loans
Excellent communications and customer service skills
Customer service orientation in a face‑to‑face environment
Experience using mortgage software applications
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Demonstrated ability to lead public group sessions or meetings
Understands organization, culture, business, products and services
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Working knowledge of various community down‑payment assistance programs
Must have well established Realtor network and/or community relationships
High School Diploma or GED

Our anticipated pay range for this position is $55,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year. At Third Federal, we’re committed to transparency throughout the hiring process. Individual pay will be thoughtfully determined by a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
