Account Manager
A growing full-service CPA and Business Management firm with offices across New York, New Jersey, Long Island, Maryland, White Plains, and California is seeking an Account Manager to support its Los Angeles Business Management practice. This team works closely with clients in the music industry, including touring artists, producers, songwriters, and independent labels. The Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial activities for a portfolio of clients. This person will partner with Managers and Partners and act as a key contact for clients and their representatives. The role includes a mix of financial management, client service, and coordination across core business management functions such as bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tour reporting, insurance, royalties, tax support, and general financial administration. Oversee daily financial operations for assigned clients Review bookkeeping, including bank and credit card reconciliations Manage accounts payable and receivable, including bill payments and invoicing Serve as a main point of contact for clients and their teams, such as managers, attorneys, and agents Reconcile intercompany accounts Prepare and review payroll-related reports Create commission schedules Support the preparation and review of 1099s Assist with tour accounting and reporting when needed Partner with the tax team on planning and compliance matters Help prepare credit applications and other financial documents Produce financial reports and Excel schedules for both clients and internal stakeholders Help manage priorities and ensure deadlines are met Maintain accurate and organized financial records Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment At least 3 years of experience in accounting or business management Music industry experience is strongly preferred Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals Prior experience overseeing workflows or reviewing junior staff work is a plus Must be available to work onsite 5 days per week Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word Experience using AgilLink, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Online Experience preparing 1099 forms Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Flexibility to work overtime when needed This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow within business management and gain exposure to entertainment industry clients.
