Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Construction Estimator role located in Dallas, TX. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, conducting quantity take-offs, and managing budgets for various construction projects. The role will include collaborating with project teams to ensure accuracy in estimating, analyzing project specifications, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders throughout the estimation process.
Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and subcontractor scopes Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids Assist in preparing bid proposals and budgets Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors during the preconstruction process Maintain organized estimating records and documentation Support value engineering and cost analysis efforts
Preferred Skills:
Experience with commercial construction estimating Ability to review plans, specifications, and bid documents Strong understanding of construction costs and budgeting Proficiency with estimating software and Excel Strong communication and organizational skills
Qualifications
Expertise in Construction Estimating and preparation of Quantity Take-offs Proficiency in Budgeting and Cost Management Strong written and verbal Communication skills Experience with construction software tools is a plus Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Understanding of local building codes and regulations is advantageous
