About the Role
The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director - PCS to lead an engagement team, interact with clients and family office personnel, and ensure the delivery of timely and coordinated services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, providing trusted advisory services, and leading multiple engagements that encompass consulting, compliance, and tax planning. This role also involves guiding and managing IRS and state audits, participating in new business development activities, and designing and delivering technical training on individual tax topics. The Tax Managing Director will be expected to recruit, supervise, and mentor less experienced team members, as well as contribute to the management of the internal tax department.
Applicants for the Tax Managing Director position at the company should have a Master’s degree in taxation or accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience in public accounting or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is required, along with a proven track record of providing consultative services to high-net-worth individuals and families. The role demands a high level of technical expertise in individual taxation, including trust, estate, and gift taxation, and a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel is necessary, as is the ability to travel as needed.
