About the Role
The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director for Private Client Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an engagement team, directly interacting with clients and family office personnel, and ensuring the delivery of timely and coordinated services. This role involves developing and managing client relationships, being a trusted advisor, and directing multiple engagements that encompass consulting, compliance, and tax planning services. The Tax Managing Director will also be involved in guiding and managing IRS and state audits, as well as actively contributing to new business development activities.
Applicants for the Tax Managing Director position should have a Master's degree in taxation or accounting, or a Bachelor's degree with a strong preference for a Master's. A minimum of 10 years' experience in public accounting or a related field, with at least 10 years in a supervisory role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in comprehensive tax planning, consulting, and expertise in federal and state tax laws. Experience in providing consultative services to high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as a strong background in individual taxation, including trust, estate, and gift taxation, is essential. The role also demands excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills, as well as the ability to mentor and develop junior team members. A CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory, and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel is expected.
