Executive Legal Assistant – Public Affairs & Government Strategies
Our client, a growing national law firm near Capitol Hill, is seeking a highly skilled Executive Legal Assistant to support senior attorneys within its Public Affairs & Strategies practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside leaders who have shaped major public policy initiatives, advised top DC government officials, and driven high‑impact civic and legislative strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Manage complex calendars, travel, and high‑volume communications (including responding on behalf of attorneys)
Coordinate legislative and client meetings, prepare briefing materials, and draft correspondence
Handle time entry, billing, expenses, and administrative operations with precision
Support public affairs initiatives and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders
Assist with proposals, presentations, registrations, and deadline tracking
Qualifications
5+ years of EA/administrative experience; law firm or government affairs background preferred
Exceptional writing, organization, and prioritization skills
Comfortable supporting high‑profile leaders who rely heavily on proactive, independent support
Strong Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with legal software is a plus
