Marketing Intern – Economic Development Office
Town of Lexington – Land Use, Housing and Development Department
Hourly Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 (no benefits). Position funded through June 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
Create graphics from templates.
Monitor and create content for social media platforms.
Design materials such as brochures.
Maintain and archive files and perform regular clerical duties.
Contribute to the creation of digital content including mock‑ups.
Create graphics for merchandise.
Present work to staff/committees (pending specific projects).
Research information for reports/data.
Minimum Education & Experience
Ability to work in the United States without the need for current or future Town sponsorship.
High‑school diploma or equivalent certificate.
Familiarity/expertise with Adobe Illustrator and other graphic design software (preferred).
Qualifications
Communicate clearly, orally and in writing, and maintain effective work relationships.
Operate efficiently in a high‑paced environment and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
Be organized, detail‑oriented and able to execute work under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills; collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information accurately.
Interpret and apply federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and regulations.
Work collaboratively and effectively with various departments.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication, teamwork, presentation, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
Maintain efficient and effective automated systems.
Work independently on projects and self‑lead under guidance.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Work performed in a normal office environment. May require bending, crouching, standing for long periods and lifting lightweight computer equipment.
Job duties involve extended periods of sitting while using a keyboard and mouse, requiring eye‑hand coordination and finger dexterity. Must perceive visual and auditory cues and have normal vision (close, distance, peripheral, color discrimination).
