Opportunity for Impact
Taxbit is seeking a Principal Product Designer to simplify enterprise tax compliance for digital assets. Our platform powers tax and compliance workflows for the world's largest crypto exchanges, payments companies, and Big 4 accounting firms. You will help transform regulatory logic into intelligent product experiences that guide users through complexity and make compliance effortless.
Role and Responsibilities
Drive User Experience for Enterprise Tax Compliance: Design across complex B2B workflows — from data ingestion and eligibility validation to filing and reporting. Focus on measurable business impact: self‑service adoption, time‑to‑value, and API integration success.
Ground Design Decisions in Structured Discovery and Evaluative Research: Partner with Product Managers to map business outcomes to user opportunities and identify high‑impact problems using frameworks like Opportunity‑Solution Trees. Use user interviews, session recordings, analytics, and evaluative research to validate designs.
Mentor and Accelerate: Provide hands‑on mentorship to designers, PMs, and cross‑functional colleagues. Foster a test‑and‑learn culture and drive purposeful iteration.
Partner Deeply with Product and Engineering: Act as a true peer to Product Managers and Engineering leads, shaping what gets built and influencing strategy, roadmap, and technical trade‑offs.
Required
Professional Qualifications
8–10+ years of product design experience, primarily B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms with complex, data‑heavy workflows.
Proven mastery of multi‑step B2B workflow design for professional users.
Hands‑on experience with AI‑powered prototyping tools (e.g., Figma Make, Claude Code).
Strong discovery and research skills, including user interviews, data synthesis, and evaluative testing.
Track record of mentoring designers or cross‑functional team members.
Nice to Have
Front‑end technical fluency with React or component libraries to direct AI coding agents.
Experience or competence in product management, thinking in terms of outcomes, prioritization, and trade‑offs.
Background in regulated industries such as regtech, fintech, tax, or compliance.
Experience designing consumer‑facing products.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $185,000–$235,000. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation will vary based on location, experience, level, and job qualifications.
