Insight Global is hiring a Senior UI Designer to support a client's Video Design team’s design enablement process. This is a high‑impact role centered on mobile design craft, scalable design systems, and the evolving use of AI‑assisted design workflows. The designer will play a key role in building, documenting, and scaling the mobile design system across iOS and Android—defining components, creating usage guidelines, and establishing standards that enable product and engineering teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality video experiences. Additionally, this role will help guide adoption of AI‑powered design tools and agentic workflows, identifying opportunities where automation enhances quality without sacrificing craft. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in mobile platform design and a visible advocate for design excellence across the Video product organization.
Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with UX, product, and engineering teams to deliver user‑centered mobile designs for video experiences across iOS and Android.
• Create mockups, annotated wireframes, user flows, information architecture, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma and ProtoPie.
• Lead design reviews, critiques, and ideation sessions to elevate mobile design quality and consistency across the Video Design team.
• Define, document, and govern mobile design system components, including usage guidelines, interaction states, accessibility, and platform‑specific variants.
• Own and maintain the Video Design Figma component library, including variables, tokens, auto‑layout standards, and versioning.
• Partner with engineering to ensure accurate implementation of design system components and alignment between design intent and production output across platforms.
• Champion adoption of AI‑powered design tools and agentic workflows, establishing best practices that improve efficiency while preserving high‑quality design craft.
Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years of UI, UX, or product design experience, including 5+ years designing native iOS and/or Android applications.
• 3+ years of experience leading or significantly contributing to mobile design systems, including component definition, structured documentation, and Figma library ownership
• Deep familiarity with platform-specific nomenclature, conventions, and guidelines (Apple HIG, Google Material 3).
• Advanced experience in Figma, including variables, tokens, auto‑layout, components, and library/version management.
• Experience producing detailed component documentation covering usage guidelines, interaction states, edge cases, and accessibility requirements.
• Working experience with prototyping tools such as Figma Make or ProtoPie.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted design tools (e.g. Figma Make, Kiro, etc.) and thoughtful judgment on where automation adds value within professional workflows.
• Experience in user‑centered design (UCD) methodologies applied from concept through launch.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Solid understanding of mobile accessibility standards and UX best practices (WCAG, iOS/Android accessibility APIs).
• Experience with project estimation, planning, and/or facilitating user research and usability testing.
