Job Title: Account Executive – Sales

Location: San Fernando, CA | Onsite

Compensation: $95,000–$110,000 annually

Job Summary:

The Account Executive plays a key role in driving growth by combining a consultative sales approach with a strong understanding of technical food science. This position is responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from identifying new opportunities to guiding projects through completion in alignment with customer expectations. The AE builds and maintains relationships within assigned accounts and territories, works closely with customers to understand their specific needs, and partners with internal Research and Development teams to deliver tailored solutions. Success in this role requires strong customer focus, technical awareness, and the ability to move projects forward efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve year-over-year revenue growth within assigned accounts and territory.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and account expansion.
  • Engage proactively with both technical and business stakeholders to understand customer needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Represent the company with integrity and professionalism at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of company capabilities to identify and pursue new leads and sales opportunities.
  • Partner with the Research and Development team to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements and align with project timelines.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with internal teams and external clients.
  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle—from prospecting and proposal development to closing and post-sale support.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to enhance customer interactions.
  • Travel extensively (50%+), including visits to customer sites and other locations as needed to support business objectives.
  • Demonstrate consistent, punctual attendance and reliability in all aspects of the role.
  • Complete any additional duties assigned as needed.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Food Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of strategic sales experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal English.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle that meets company requirements.
  • Must be able to report to any company facility as needed, including on short notice.
