Sales Account Manager

The Sales Account Manager plays a key role in supporting customers by handling orders, quotes, inventory, and delivery schedules while maintaining high service levels. This role ensures seamless communication between teams, including purchasing, operations, and account management. The position combines customer service, order management, and internal operations coordination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process customer and vendor transactions including orders, quotes, and returns.
  • Reconcile customer-specific invoicing issues and discrepancies.
  • Import and manage customer demand forecasts in the P21 system; implement auto-purchase levels and monitor customer-specific stock levels.
  • Communicate unexpected changes in product demand to the Purchasing Department.
  • Monitor customer report card performance and reconcile with internal metrics.
  • Aid in managing customer-dedicated inventory and maintaining individual customer profiles, including shipping instructions, Bill-of-Materials (BOM), assembly headers, and customized items.
  • Participate in Key Account Management meetings as needed.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries or MRO call overflow.
  • Execute ad-hoc customer support tasks and maintain professional communication at all times.
  • Continuously improve proficiency in business systems, including P21, Microsoft Office, and other tools.
  • Stay informed of customer needs through sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, and industry publications.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with team members to achieve goals.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Familiarity with Epicor P21 ERP software.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service, sales support, or a related progressive role.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order entry and quoting.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with basic business math (rates, ratios, percentages).


Compensation: ($50K+) plus full benefit package.
