Role Description ·
Price New Business and Renewal Cases within requested timeframes. ·
Evaluate new business opportunities and determine if case meets Underwriting Guidelines ·
Calculate manual and experience rated new business cases including renewals ·
Issue appropriate rates and accurately describe terms of offer. ·
Explain offer to Sales/Service staff. ·
Accurately price plan modifications ·
Respond to pricing appeals on quotes. ·
Review and approve sold cases. ·
Provide adjustments for non-standard manual rates. ·
Projects as assigned.
Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Business or Math or business equivalent experience · 2+ years group life/health underwriting experience · General analytical skills, knowledge of Excel, high math aptitude · Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint & Outlook) · Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management · Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly on projects with members of other departments, as needed · Excellent communication skills – both oral and written · Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills This position may be remote or assigned to work in the office 2 to 3 days a week. Hybrid preferred.
Annual base salary $63,000 - $68,000 plus competitive benefits and bonus
