Company Description Director of Early Childhood Program

Children’s Place Full Time | On site

5308 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77005

Reaction Search International has been retained by Children’s Place to identify an accomplished Director of Early Childhood Program for a well established, church affiliated early childhood education program. This is a meaningful leadership opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional who can bring strong operational oversight, educational leadership, staff development, and parent engagement to a vibrant and mission driven school community.

The Director of Early Childhood Program will provide overall leadership for the school’s daily operations and long term success. This individual will oversee staff management, curriculum support, licensing compliance, financial administration, parent communication, student support, and school wide coordination across the program. The role requires a leader who can maintain high standards in early childhood education while helping foster a warm, collaborative, and values based environment for children, families, and staff.

Key responsibilities include guiding curriculum implementation from infants through Pre K, partnering with internal stakeholders on spiritual and enrichment programming, leading hiring and staff development efforts, conducting classroom observations and performance reviews, ensuring compliance with licensing and health and safety standards, supporting parent onboarding and ongoing communication, overseeing school events and communications, and helping drive enrollment growth and financial performance.

Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in education, behavioral science, or a related field. A master’s degree in early childhood education is preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in school administration or early childhood program leadership, including experience leading a large preschool environment. Experience in a church affiliated or faith based early childhood setting is strongly preferred due to the nature of the institution, its community, and its program model.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership presence, sound business and financial acumen, deep knowledge of child development and curriculum planning, and the ability to build trust with families, teachers, and colleagues. This individual should be highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of balancing educational quality, compliance, culture, and community engagement with professionalism and care.

Children’s Place offers the opportunity to lead within a collaborative, community oriented environment that values excellence in early childhood education, strong family relationships, and mission aligned service.
