Position Overview

The

Senior Salesforce Architect

will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and compliant Salesforce-based solutions supporting HRSA and broader HHS mission systems.

This role is responsible for defining end-to-end architecture across Salesforce platforms, enterprise integrations, and data ecosystems, while ensuring alignment with federal compliance standards, agency enterprise architecture, and modernization objectives.

The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce expertise, public sector experience, integration architecture, and leadership capability to drive enterprise transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce & Solution Architecture Architect and implement solutions across Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and core platforms (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) Design and extend PSS-based solutions for grants management, case management, and constituent engagement aligned to HRSA programs Develop scalable applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform configurations Leverage OmniStudio (OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, FlexCards) to deliver low-code, scalable, and user-centric solutions. Design dynamic user experiences and workflows using FlexCards and OmniScripts. Define Salesforce data models, governance frameworks, and security/sharing models Evaluate and recommend build vs. buy decisions, platform capabilities, and technology stack alignment Lead architecture decisions for enterprise and multi-org Salesforce implementations Integration & Enterprise Architecture

Design and implement API-led integrations (REST/SOAP) with enterprise systems Define integration architecture using middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi,) Define end-to-end integration architecture patterns (real-time, batch, event-driven, and hybrid) aligned to enterprise needs Enable event-driven and microservices-based architectures Integrate Salesforce with AWS/Azure environments and federal systems (e.g., grants platforms, data hubs) Security & Compliance (Federal Focus)

Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, and HHS security frameworks Implement secure architecture patterns, identity/access controls, and Zero Trust principles Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, including preparation of security artifacts, architecture documentation, and control implementations Collaborate with security teams to develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), POA&Ms, and Risk Assessments Align solutions with agency enterprise architecture and governance models DevSecOps & Modern Delivery

Define and implement Salesforce DevOps strategy (CI/CD pipelines, version control, release automation) Utilize tools such as Copado, Gearset, GitHub Actions, or equivalent Promote secure coding practices, automated testing, and release governance Data, Analytics & AI Enablement

Architect enterprise data integration and governance strategies Leverage Salesforce Data Cloud and enterprise analytics platforms (Power BI/Tableau) Enable AI-driven capabilities using Salesforce Einstein / GenAI solutions Support enterprise reporting, search, and performance monitoring initiatives Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a technical lead and trusted advisor to federal stakeholders and executives Translate business, regulatory, and mission requirements into scalable technical solutions Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (developers, BAs, engineers) Support solutioning, capture, and proposal efforts (preferred in federal consulting environments) Qualifications

10-12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture with strong Salesforce focus Proven experience delivering large-scale Salesforce implementations in complex environments Hands-on expertise in:

Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) (strongly preferred / expected) Salesforce platform (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) OmniStudio components (OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, FlexCards) Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL Experience implementing case management, grants management, or regulatory workflows using Salesforce Experience with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms) Experience working in federal or regulated environments (HHS/HRSA preferred) Candidates with equivalent public sector Salesforce implementations (non-PSS) will also be considered. Technical Expertise

Strong understanding of: Enterprise integration patterns (API-led, microservices, event-driven) Data architecture & governance Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) Security & compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA) Certifications (Required)

Salesforce Certified Application Architect OR System Architect Platform Developer II Platform Developer I CTA (Certified Technical Architect) - Nice to have Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience implementing Salesforce PSS within federal agencies (HHS/HRSA) Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Einstein AI capabilities Familiarity with federal grants systems (e.g., GrantSolutions) or health IT ecosystems Experience supporting proposal development / capture activities Experience designing digital experiences using OmniStudio + Experience Cloud for public sector portals Experience implementing end-to-end PSS + OmniStudio solutions in federal environments

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, business intelligence, economics, statistics, or mathematics

Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.

Location:

Hybrid (One day per week or as needed in the REI Sterling Office).
