Position Description:

This role can be filled from the client site 5 days a week in one of the following locations: Dallas TX, or Pittsburgh PA.

CGI is seeking a Product Owner in the banking domain, that will be responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Responsible for innovation and end-to-end launch of products. . Collaborates with global commercial services partners and customers to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment. . Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement. . Turns data insights into products with actionable outcomes to the ultimate customer. . Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks. . Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization. . Develops, owns, and executes product roadmap. . Works with user-focused departments to define the self-service user experience, support, and monitoring for customers. . Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. . Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders. . Leads the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology. . Defines and executes go-to-market plan, working to ensure that product management, marketing, and sales have what they need to be successful. . Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of product or project development experience • At least 4 years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development • Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles • Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, etc. • Merchant Payments domain Experience (E2E lifecycle): Strong understanding of merchant transaction flows from capture via gateway/processor → processing → settlement → servicing/analytics, and how these capabilities fit into the broader end to end merchant lifecycle. • Transaction data + ledger mindset: Ability to define/own the transaction schema, intermediate tables, and how transactions (and related events) are recorded across operational transaction stores and the ledger. • Pricing/fees → net settlement outcomes: Skill in turning pricing rules into implementable requirements for fee calculation, net vs. gross settlement, and downstream revenue/billing implications (including scenarios where net settlement is required). • Funding & payout operations (incl. exceptions): Ability to drive requirements for funding merchants, payout instruction generation, and handling operational realities like rejects/returns and secondary flows tied to payouts. • ACH / file-based settlement integration literacy: Comfortable working with ACH origination concepts and artifacts (e.g., file specs, acknowledgements, confirmations, control totals), since these often underpin payout rails and reconciliation patterns in Treasury environments. • Reconciliation + traceability (IDs, reporting, returns/NOCs): Own requirements for end to end identifiers/unique IDs that allow linking originated payouts through reporting (including returns/NOCs) and enable transaction-level reconcilement detail in reporting. • Risk controls in the transaction intake path: Ability to define product behavior around risk thresholding, funding/processing limits, and reserve-related considerations that directly impact authorization/processing outcomes. • Production readiness + quality leadership: Strong experience for measurable quality: manage defect trends, enforce "done" criteria, and drive automation maturity and release readiness (CI/CD, security hardening evidence, resilience/DR, dashboards/traceability).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,800.00 - $156,700.00.
