We’re looking for our most senior marketing leader—a VP of Marketing who knows how to take great product and turn it into something people can’t ignore. This is not a “manage the machine” role. This is a build it, own it, make it better role. What You’ll Do Own marketing end-to-end — from product storytelling to brand campaigns to retail execution Build and lead the marketing function — team, structure, processes, and output Translate product into demand — create compelling narratives that drive conversion across DTC, Amazon, and retail Lead product marketing — positioning, launches, naming, packaging, and in-store storytelling Drive brand marketing — campaigns, social, influencer, and cultural relevance Win in big box retail — develop marketing that works inside Target, Walmart, and beyond Partner cross-functionally — especially with Product, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment from concept to shelf Own go-to-market strategy — seasonal drops, key launches, and retail moments Raise the bar on creative — ensure everything we put into the world looks and feels like Pair of Thieves Use data to drive decisions — understand POS, sell-through, and performance marketing signals Who You Are 10–15+ years in marketing, with meaningful leadership experience Deep product marketing expertise — you know how to position, launch, and scale product Big box retail experience is required (Target, Walmart, Costco, etc.) CPG fluency — you understand velocity, shelf, turns, and what actually drives purchase Brand builder — you can create something people care about, not just something that sells Operator + creative — you can think big and execute Builder mindset — you’ve built teams, not just inherited them Comfortable in a fast-moving, scrappy environment — no hand-holding, no silos Strong point of view — you know what good looks like and aren’t afraid to push for it What Success Looks Like A best-in-class marketing function built from the ground up Clear, compelling product storytelling across every channel Stronger retail performance driven by better marketing and execution A brand people recognize, remember, and come back to Tight alignment across Product, Sales, and Marketing Why Pair of Thieves You’ll be the senior-most marketer in the building You’ll have real ownership and real impact You’ll help shape how a growing brand shows up in the world You’ll work with a team that moves fast and expects you to do the same If you’ve built product-driven marketing in a retail environment and know how to make things sell
