Catalent Pharma Solutions in Madison, WI is hiring a Specialist I - Materials Management. The Materials Management department is responsible for warehouse management, inventory control, work order management, incoming receipts, and domestic and international shipments of all items for Madison. This department follows approved materials SOPs for the Madison site. The Materials Management Team supports other departments in all materials needs, including staging materials for manufacturing. The Specialist I - Materials Management position will support each of these department functions as a key member. The Role: Monitor shipments for damage, breakage, or other problems and document circumstances immediately upon discovery Responsible for ensuring all receipts are entered into the inventory system, labeled, and scanned into the appropriate locations Collect temperature monitoring devices from temperature monitored packaging and process per procedure Communicate, maintain, and resolve any PO related issues within a timely manner Contact appropriate employee and/or department with receipt, pickup, and delivery details when applicable Ability to complete inventory cycle count activities as requested Handle products using material handling equipment Transport materials as needed or requested by supervisor between external local locations driving a straight truck Ability to accurately follow procedures or with minimal direction Strong attention-to-detail necessary in a cGMP environment Ability to adapt to a quickly changing work environment with rapidly changing needs and requests Other duties as assigned The Candidate: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license. Ability to operate company owned transport vehicle as requested. 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a shipping/receiving, material operation's environment Prior cold storage material handling and alarm system monitoring preferred Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing, & cGMP experience preferred Prior computerized inventory management system knowledge, JD Edwards knowledge preferred Physical requirements: Individual must be able to see, hear, read, and write clear English. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, talking, writing, listening. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, grasping. Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Must comply with EHS responsibilities.
