Position Title: Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Position Summary
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications leads how Finseca tells its story and promotes its value. This person builds marketing and communication strategies that grow membership, keep members engaged, and support our advocacy work. The role requires someone who can take complex policy and industry topics and turn them into clear, compelling messages that people understand while elevating the profession.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Integrated Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with Finseca’s growth and advocacy goals.
Translate Finseca’s mission, policy priorities, and member value into clear, compelling narratives across all channels.
Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across digital, print, events, and media.
Sales-Enabled Inbound Marketing
Build and manage campaigns, content, and tools that directly support our membership growth. (e.g., pitch decks, one-pagers, email workflows, landing pages).
Partner closely with the growth team to understand pipeline needs and design marketing initiatives that drive qualified leads, conversions, and member engagement.
Use data and analytics to track campaign performance and refine efforts to better support member growth.
Communications and Advocacy Positioning
Support strategic communications that elevate Finseca’s advocacy work and policy priorities, especially to members, prospects, and corporate partners.
Translate complex legislative and regulatory issues into accessible, persuasive messages that reinforce Finseca’s value proposition as the advocacy leader for the profession.
Ensure that advocacy and policy communications are aligned with the organization’s broader brand and membership strategy.
Digital, Brand, and Content
Oversee Finseca’s branding to ensure a cohesive and professional presence.
Lead development of content across channels (website, email, social media, video, print) with a focus on storytelling that supports Finseca’s growth.
Manage the use of marketing technology (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Perplexity, analytics tools) to segment audiences, personalize outreach, and measure impact.
Events and Member Engagement
Direct marketing and communications for key events, including campaigns that drive registration, engagement, and post-event conversion.
Support programs and initiatives that deepen member engagement and highlight member success stories.
Leadership and Collaboration
Lead and develop a high-performing marketing and communications team that is agile, creative, and data-informed.
Collaborate across departments (advocacy, membership, corporate partners, member learning and experience, technology, etc.) to ensure alignment on priorities and messaging.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, communications, public relations, political science, or related field preferred.
8–10+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, including leadership of a team.
Demonstrated success in building and executing membership marketing strategies that support sales or membership growth.
Proven ability to translate complex policy or technical topics into clear, persuasive messaging for multiple audiences.
Strong background in digital marketing, including email campaigns, social media, web, and marketing automation tools.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of campaigns or materials that show impact.
Experience working in or with membership organizations, associations, or advocacy-focused groups preferred.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales or membership teams and operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Salary Range $165,000 -180,000
