Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Event Manager role located in Boston, MA. The Event Manager will oversee the successful planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless operations from start to finish. Key responsibilities include coordinating with clients to understand their vision, managing event logistics, liaising with vendors and staff, and ensuring quality and service standards are met. The role also includes on-site event supervision, problem-solving as needed, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaboration with the catering team and adherence to strict timelines and budgets are integral aspects of this role.
Qualifications Event Management and Coordination experience, including planning and overseeing event logistics. Leadership, Team Collaboration, and Problem-solving skills. Vendor and Client Relationship Management experience. Time Management, Organizational, and Budgeting skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances. Knowledge of catering and hospitality industry standards is highly desirable. Proficiency with event planning and scheduling tools is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
