** TITLE: Employee Relations Specialist (Conflict Resolution / Mediation)
** LOCATION: Hybrid Role (2 days Remote | 3 days onsite at 43-82 Vernon Blvd Long Island City, NY 11101
** DURATION: 6-month contract with extensions based on performance
*** WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $55.00/hr. - $65.00/hr. (depending upon experience)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Specialist – Conflict Management serves as the primary point of contact for conflict management services across the organization. This role is responsible for managing conflict cases, facilitating mediation and coaching sessions, and designing proactive conflict prevention strategies. As part of the Organizational Development (OD) team, this individual will also support broader initiatives by partnering with leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness through customized training and development programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Conflict Case Management Manage intake, tracking, follow-ups, and reporting for conflict-related cases. Facilitate mediation sessions for employees at all levels, including preparation, documentation, and follow-up. Provide coaching and guidance to leaders to address and de-escalate conflicts early. Training & Development Design and deliver conflict management training, workshops, and presentations. Develop and maintain engaging training content using various learning methods. Oversee delivery of conflict management curriculum across the organization. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with internal groups including
Labor, EEO & Workplace Culture, Business Ethics & Compliance, and Ombudsman Office . Align on conflict cases, priorities, and resolution strategies. Support Organizational Development initiatives and leadership effectiveness programs. Program & Resource Management Maintain and promote conflict management resources and tools. Manage internal communications via intranet and internal channels. Conduct post-mediation follow-ups and recommend actions to improve collaboration and workplace relationships.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education : Bachelor’s Degree required (master’s preferred) 3+ years of experience
in conflict management, employee relations, or related field Experience in
conflict resolution and mediation Strong experience in
training development and facilitation Comfortable presentation to both small and large groups (virtual and in-person) Ability to work with employees and leaders at all levels Preferred Qualifications: Mediation Certification (no specific certification required) Background in training & development, EEO, or employee relations
