Responsibilities
Source and acquire used vehicle inventory.
Analyze market data (vAuto, MMR, KBB ICO) to make strategic buying decisions.
Establish and manage inventory levels based on turn targets and lot capacity.
Price vehicles competitively using market-based data.
Oversee reconditioning process to ensure timely front‑line readiness.
Ensure all vehicles meet safety, compliance, and quality standards before retail.
Manage vehicle merchandising, including photos, descriptions, and online listings.
Monitor online performance and adjust strategy accordingly.
Partner with sales team to structure deals and maximize front‑end gross.
Coordinate with F&I to ensure smooth deal flow and backend opportunity capture.
Identify and manage wholesale opportunities to minimize aging losses.
Track and report key performance metrics (inventory, sales, gross, turn, re‑con time).
Maintain compliance with state regulations, disclosures, and dealership policies.
Continuously analyze market trends to adjust inventory mix and acquisition strategy.
Lead and hold team accountable to process, performance standards, and profitability goals.
Assist Sales Manager by working through the sales process with the team.
Requirements
Proven experience in automotive sales or used vehicle management.
Strong understanding of inventory management, pricing strategy, and market analytics.
Experience with vAuto, CRM systems, and dealership management tools preferred.
Ability to analyze data and make high‑impact business decisions.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Detail‑oriented with a focus on process and accountability.
The ability to work well with others.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
Pre‑employment background checks are required, including MVR, and drug screening.
