Marketing Programs & Community Manager, Developer Marketing and Creative
Job ID: 10391796 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Are you passionate about building communities and creating authentic connections with developers? Do you thrive at the intersection of social media, community strategy, and marketing operations — and get excited about the idea of shaping how a global developer brand shows up in the world?
Amazon's Developer Marketing team is looking for a Community Marketing Manager to own the developer social media and community engagement strategy across Amazon Developer products including Fire TV and Alexa+. This role is the connective tissue between our developer community and the broader marketing organization — combining strategic planning, hands‑on execution, cross‑functional coordination, and community building to drive meaningful engagement with developers around the world.
You will own the Amazon Developer social media presence, build and lead a developer community outreach program, and manage end‑to‑end marketing workflows. The ideal candidate is a data‑driven, community‑obsessed marketer who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and brings both creative instincts and operational rigor to everything they do.
Key Job Responsibilities
Developer Social Media & Community Ownership – Own Amazon Developer social media presence across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, and emerging platforms; develop content calendars, manage publishing operations, and monitor sentiment using Sprinklr and Common Room.
Social Strategy & Content Planning – Develop social strategy and editorial calendar with Marketing, Product Marketing, and Evangelism teams; ensure alignment with product launches, events, and developer stories while maintaining brand voice.
Community Engagement & Monitoring – Monitor trending topics and conversations across developer platforms (Reddit, Stack Overflow, GitHub, Discord); execute daily engagement and foster relationships with community members and influencers.
Developer Event Strategy – Own in‑person and hybrid developer event strategy including sponsored events, workshops, and meetups; identify opportunities aligned with business objectives and introduce formats that deliver developer value.
Developer Community Programs – Build developer community outreach program; nurture relationships, identify and empower advocates, create recognition programs, and establish feedback loops informing product and marketing strategies.
Event Execution & Content Capture – Provide onsite event coordination; own content video workflows, agency execution, and post‑event deliverables; coordinate cross‑functional teams to measure impact.
Marketing Workflow Management – Own end‑to‑end marketing workflow and intake process; manage third‑party agency workflows to ensure content meets SLAs.
Marketing Calendar & Planning – Maintain marketing calendar for full team visibility; lead biannual planning cycles, identify bottlenecks, and establish scalable processes.
Performance Measurement & Reporting – Measure and report on social media metrics, community KPIs, and event ROI; provide monthly performance reports and data‑driven optimization recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional non‑internship marketing experience.
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of social media management experience, preferably in B2D (Business‑to‑Developer) or technology sectors.
Experience managing multiple social media channels simultaneously across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and YouTube.
Experience with social media management and listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Common Room).
Experience in developer marketing, developer relations, or B2D marketing.
Demonstrated track record of growing online communities and driving measurable engagement.
Experience managing agency relationships and third‑party vendor workflows.
Experience with event strategy and execution, including grassroots or community‑led events.
Familiarity with developer tools and platforms (e.g., Fire TV, Alexa, app stores).
Ability to adapt voice and tone for developer audiences.
Experience with marketing planning processes including budget management and planning cycles.
