Overview
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Parts Counter Sales team member to support daily parts store operations in the New Orleans / Metairie area. This is not a passive counter role. We are looking for someone who is customer-oriented, dependable, and engaged—someone who communicates well, follows through, and takes pride in helping customers get what they need quickly and accurately. You will work closely with the Parts Store Manager and play an important role in delivering a high level of service to contractors, technicians, and service teams. Key Responsibilities
Assist customers at the counter, over the phone, and through will call in a professional and helpful manner Process parts orders accurately and efficiently Perform parts lookup for multiple equipment lines Prepare job quotes and maintain an active open quote log for customer follow-up Process warranty claims Support customers in identifying substitute products when primary items are unavailable Help maintain desired margins by following established pricing structure Arrange and stock merchandise on shelves or racks and keep the sales area organized Conduct outgoing sales and follow-up calls to customers Learn product lines, stocking inventory, vendor parts, and new product offerings Work closely with the Parts Store Manager and team to support daily operations Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic Qualifications
Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities at the same time Strong attention to detail and follow-through Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong customer-first mindset Ability to quickly learn product lines, vendors, and part substitutions HVAC parts, distribution, warehouse, or contractor supply experience preferred Willingness to work overtime when needed Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Training
Multiple product lines will be introduced. The ideal candidate must be able to learn products and vendors quickly and become confident identifying alternatives when needed. Compensation and Benefits
Highly competitive salary based on experience Performance-based incentive plan Full-time position with 40 hours guaranteed each week Paid bi-weekly, with overtime as needed Paid vacation Health insurance (50% company-paid for employee or family; eligibility after 90 days) Long-term disability coverage (60% of salary; 100% company-paid after 90 days) $20,000 company-paid life insurance (after 90 days) 401(k) after one year with up to 4% company match Profit-sharing contribution (historically funded) Full-time, in-office position in the New Orleans / Metairie area.
