## Description**SUMMARY:**The Senior Tax Servicing Specialist position is a crucial role responsible for property tax-related operations, ensuring the accurate maintenance of property tax records, timely payment of property taxes, and related escrowed items on behalf of the bank’s mortgage loan customers. The incumbent in this role plays a key role in overseeing vendor reporting, compliance, and payment processes, ensuring they are executed efficiently and in accordance with RESPA escrow regulations. Attention to detail, knowledge of state, county and lower-level tax collection requirements, and commitment to customer satisfaction are crucial in this role.**JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** Process property tax payments and other tax-related obligations from mortgage loan escrow accounts.* Ensure that tax payees are updated when necessary, and payments promptly submitted to tax collecting agencies.* Prepare and submit required tax reports to regulatory authorities and auditors.* Research and contact tax collecting agencies as required by customer and auditor inquiries. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and errors in a timely and efficient manner.* Assist customers with inquiries related to tax disbursements and payments, property assessments, and escrowed accounts.* Provide clear and professional information and guidance on escrow related issues to mortgage loan customers, department staff and loan originations.* Assist with the processing of the monthly annual escrow analyses by managing the research and record maintenance to ensure the accuracy of the escrow analysis.* Stay informed about changes to state and local tax collection requirements and updates to RESPA regulations.* Ensure that the bank's tax servicing processes comply with, and adhere to, all applicable laws and regulations.* Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy of tax payments, reporting, and compliance.* Work with our third-party tax service provider and tax collection agencies to ensure effective property tax servicing. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.* Work with other areas within the escrow department to identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflows.* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.**WORKING CONDITIONS:*** Air-conditioned work environment.* Consistent and timely attendance is required to ensure uninterrupted operational efficiency and exemplary service delivery.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*** Sit for extended periods of time.* Walk, stand, bend, squat, twist, and reach.* Simple grasping and fine manipulation.* Extended keyboarding.## Qualifications**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*** High School Diploma or equivalent.* At least two year of experience in tax servicing, tax administration, or a similar role in the banking or financial industry.* Basic knowledge of state property tax laws and federal regulations, particularly in the areas of property tax servicing and compliance.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Effective communication and customer service abilities.* Proficiency in using tax servicing software and systems.**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:*** Some college coursework in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.***Disclaimer:*** This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
