Fountain Installer (PES)

This position delivers and installs vending/fountain equipment as needed. The role uses lifting equipment to load, unload, and move large fountain machines/units at customer accounts. Responsibilities include preparing equipment for delivery, maintaining paperwork associated with installation and removal, and installing fountain beverage systems from start to finish. Additional duties may involve moving, storing, and organizing equipment in inventory at the facility. The position requires lifting, pushing/pulling, and moving vending/fountain machines that weigh approximately 800-1,200 pounds several times over an 10-12 hour period.
Primary Accountabilities
Unload and load new or used vending or fountain equipment for daily delivery
Install vending equipment and load/reload with products as necessary
Repair and perform preventative maintenance on vending/fountain equipment
Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures
Collect accurate and complete equipment information
Maintain parts, tools, and equipment
Follow DOT regulations
Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate customer/work order records for each delivery
Transport miscellaneous items such as compressors for repair/scrap, cardboard for recycle, etc.
Fill, install, and adjust to proper mix of product
Establish positive customer relationships
Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age; 21 or older if a CDL is required
Valid U.S. CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.
Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable)
Follow DOT regulations
Ability to communicate effectively in English if a CDL is required
Helpful Experience
Experience working with mechanical systems (e.g., mechanical concepts, troubleshooting and repairing appliances, basic household repairs in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operating hand tools and power tools)
Experience generating and setting work schedules (e.g., determining priority of work projects, building work schedules, scheduling tasks during the day)
Experience operating trucks requiring a CDL Class B license (e.g., driving forwards, backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces)
Experience serving customers (e.g., resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, following up on customer requests)
Experience completing basic paperwork (e.g., filling out paperwork, completing documentation to turn in to supervisor, filling out timecards, mileage)
Because the material job duties of this role involve regular field work (away from a physical company location), including visiting customer locations and interfacing with employees, vendors, and customers of the company, and the general public—following a conditional offer of employment—the company has good cause to conduct a review of criminal history in accordance with applicable laws to ensure safety. A conditional offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
