ATS is growing and we are looking for Employment Specialists to join our team!
An Employment Specialist is responsible for providing job-readiness and vocational coaching services. You will prepare your client for sustainable career opportunities and assist them in obtaining competitive integrated employment. This includes implementing established processes and use of program-specific resources designed to support adults and transition-aged students with Autism
eurodivergent needs and other disabilities in a variety of workplace settings. You will identify individual abilities & interests, coach on critical workplace skills, model appropriate social interactions, redirect perseverative behaviors, prepare for following written procedures and work instructions, interpret environmental cues, identify sensory needs, and discuss accommodations. You will also support the workplace by coaching coworkers, consulting and coaching client managers, and consulting with other paid supports related to employment.
Applicants must be available part-time with the ability to grow into full-time over time. Availability should include a minimum of 2–3 evenings a week and flexibility on weekends.
The range for this position is $17–$21/hour based on commensurate experience.
A one‑time $1000 sign‑on bonus will be paid after the successful completion of 90 days in the field for anyone hired with proof of ACRE certification upon hire. For those hired without ACRE certification, this position has a one‑time sign‑on bonus in the amount of $500 paid after the successful completion of 90 days in the field.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, or a related field strongly preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age. A minimum of 2–3 years of experience working with neurodiverse individuals strongly preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with proof of car insurance, vehicle registration, and a good driving record.
ACRE certification required within 6 months of employment.
FBI Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History (Act 33), and PA Criminal History (Act 34) clearances required.
Valid CPR certification upon hire; training provided if not valid.
Comfort using iPad or other tablet devices for documentation; general knowledge of Windows and Google products.
Core Responsibilities
Build strong therapeutic rapport with clients.
Work directly with individuals or teams of adults and/or students on the Autism spectrum or with other disabilities to prepare for and assist with obtaining employment that aligns with the individual’s interests, skills and abilities.
Provide timely communication to clients and schedule services and meetings in accordance with established program timelines.
Complete all program documentation (Supported Employment Support Plans, Community Based Work Assessments, Developmental Reports, Monthly Progress Reports, Individual Work Plans, etc.).
Provide direct training, support and coaching for program clients in a variety of settings.
Conduct task analyses and break down tasks into manageable steps.
Support and model effective workplace communication, task completion and problem solving.
Consult with management and coworkers to adapt and best support the client in the workplace.
Lead Paid Work Experience (PWE) sessions or experiential job try‑outs based on individual needs and available workplace experiences.
Facilitate and participate in job shadow opportunities.
Manage time and appointments to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.
Communicate with program leadership regarding employer outreach needs and opportunities.
Engage with employers to explore opportunities and share workplace needs.
Complete all required documentation associated with hours billed.
Maintain eligibility for direct services through training and supervision.
Transport clients to/from interviews, project sites, or scheduled service locations as needed.
Represent ATS mission, vision and values as a steward.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
