Responsibilities Provides exceptional customer service and maintains HIPAA Standards.

Works with a multicultural community.

Performs a variety of administrative functions in support of the WIC program.

Provides services to infants, toddlers, and pre/post‑natal women.

Provides low‑risk nutritional counseling to individuals or group settings.

Complies with state policy and procedures.

Responds to public health emergencies.

May be assigned to provide services in multiple counties throughout the health district.

Current schedule is Monday‑Thursday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm; may change based on needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and at least one year of experience communicating information in a customer‑service setting.

Ability to provide interpretation and translation duties in Spanish without the use of AI or a translation line.

Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and bend and reach.

Previous employment with any state’s Department of Public Health or a County Board of Health.

Completion of an associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university. Must provide an official transcript prior to start date.

One or more years of experience performing complex office/administrative duties.

One or more years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver’s license; may require driving company vehicles and working evenings/weekends for special events such as health fairs and disaster response.

Consent to a motor vehicle record assessment; score near 10 or below.

Drug screen, criminal background check and immunization records may be required.

Male applicants 18–26 must provide proof of Selective Service Registration.
