The
Senior Marketing Analyst
provides analytical support and strategic insights to the Consumer Marketing and Ace Rewards teams. This position will work cross functionally with internal business partners to leverage data and insights to aid in developing strategic Marketing campaigns in order to drive traffic and profitable sales for our retailers. In addition, the analyst is responsible for executing and analyzing Ace Rewards customer loyalty, marketing campaigns and interpreting results. Will be responsible for performing in-depth analyses, interpreting results, leveraging industry knowledge and utilizing historical data to turn insights into action. The Senior Analyst will be able to synthesize data and present the insights story, clearly and concisely. What You’ll Do Drive Marketing Strategy and Execution: Works independently with the Marketing team to provide analytical support and strategic recommendations for marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, focus categories and promotional efforts. Partners with Marketing team to understand category and brand performance as well as the impact on growth in market share. Results/Analysis/Insights: Independently supports analytical needs of business partners by understanding the purpose of the Marketing efforts, provides a forecast or proforma to estimate impact, defines metrics for measurement, reports results in a timely manner and provides strategic recommendations to impact future Marketing efforts. Additionally, performs ad-hoc deep dive analyses to uncover trends, areas of opportunity or areas of concern. Reports/Dashboards/Automation: Able to create fully automated reports or dashboards to address business needs. Performs deep dive analyses and provides report outs independently. Identifies need for automation of repeat requests. Educates retailers on key drivers of Ace Rewards success utilizing the Ace Rewards scorecards, the RAD and other ADW reporting metrics. Brings new report needs to upper management to drive higher retailer engagement and acceptance. Data/Tools/Technology: Proficient understanding of data structure, tables and fields. Proficient understanding of data mining and querying tools. Proactively identifies ways to streamline and create data efficiencies with existing technology. Develops time saving report improvements leveraging analytical tools such as Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI. Identifies opportunities for process improvement. Monitors data for accuracy and ensures results are reported accurately and flawlessly. Who You Are You are highly analytical and enjoy transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. Required Skills 5-7 years Marketing / Business Analytics Experience Bachelor’s degree in marketing Analytics / Data Science, Math/Stats, MBA a plus Analytical, quantitative and critical thinking expertise – SQL Alteryx, Databricks experience a plus Fundamental understanding of key financial / retail metrics Familiarity with insights and analytic tools and techniques (transactional detail level data, CRM technologies, consumer segmentation/targeting,). Familiarity with various data sources. Ability to collaborate and lead effective partner relationships Proficient with MS Excel, experience with data mining and query tools, BI reporting tools or CRM tools Self-starter, strong drive, highly motivated to make change and bring about fact driven decisions.
