Position Overview The Refinish Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous refinishing, ensuring a quality refinished repair that restores each vehicle to its pre‑accident condition. The technician thoroughly mixes, color‑matches, and refines each vehicle, playing a pivotal role in Gerber’s promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. Working in alignment with all team members, the technician contributes to the facility’s KPIs and serves as a Brand Ambassador of Gerber Collision & Glass at all times. Gerber provides a safe work environment and equips technicians with PAPR systems for safety and comfort.

Job Responsibilities

Review body work for quality and completeness as it arrives in the paint department

Thoroughly mix, color‑match, and refinish each vehicle to restore it to pre‑accident condition

Complete all refinish operations as described in the work order

Efficiently use and maintain paint material inventory

Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and properly dispose of hazardous waste

Attend and collaborate with the team during daily production meetings

Work in harmony with the production schedule and coworkers to meet deadlines

Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

2‑5+ years of collision repair experience

Ability to properly complete all steps in the refinishing process

Above‑average quality focus

High production capabilities

I‑CAR or ASE certifications are a bonus

Compensation Details Flat Rate – Estimated $65,000 - 125,000+ per year

Flat‑rate compensation is a performance‑based structure directly tied to turned hours (booked hours). In the event that total compensation in a pay period is less than minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated with a guarantee of applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater. Compensation is commensurate with skill, education, and experience.
