SUMMARY Support the mission of the Seattle Seahawks and Community Engagement department. The Manager will execute and provide support for programs and events within a variety of areas of focus including Future of Football, Military and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and develop Future of Football programs and initiatives focused on growing the game through tackle football including youth and high school tackle
Drive participation in tackle football through strategic marketing and activation campaigns for programs including but not limited to, Blue Friday Night Lights, High School Coach of the Week & Year, Player of the Year, Nike 11-on and more
Serve as an ambassador for the organization with high school coaches, leagues and associations, maintaining key relationships with the WIAA, WSFCA, NFL, Nike and USA Football
Build programming and relationships to support the development of coaches and officials at the high school and youth level
Develop and lead engagement with various Military communities in the Pacific Northwest, including base leadership, service members, veterans and first responder organizations through programs and events that celebrate, encourage and support individuals and organizations in these communities
Actively manage and lead military focused programs including Army/Navy Flag Football Game and Military day at Training Camp
Coordinate and present gameday Military elements, presentations and flyovers, including Salute to Service gameday activations working closely with the Game Entertainment department
Work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team on partner programs involving tackle football, active‑duty Military, veterans, first responders and other community programs
Maximize NFL Foundation, USA Football, Nike and LISC grants, facilitating applications and activation coordination for all approved grants within tackle football and Military
Manage two Military interns each year, one in the offseason and one in the regular season, providing guidance, leadership, mentorship and development throughout their internship
Ensure all programs and events are being tracked in CRM in a timely manner
Work closely with Marketing, Production and Digital Media to create content and coverage plans for Community events and programs
Ensure that all programs, camps and clinics comply with and adhere to legal risk management requirements
Closely monitor assigned programs and events to ensure expenses fit within allocated budget. Tracking expenses on a regular basis in community budget
Partner and collaborate with others in Community department on other community programs and events as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of two to three years of event and/or community program experience
Minimum of one year management experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
Manage changing priorities in a dynamic, high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment
Flexibility to adapt to different environments and working cultures
Ability to manage multiple tasks and creatively solve day‑to‑day challenges
Excellent computer skills - master of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Dynamics CRM, Tableau and Wrike preferred but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May at times be exposed to varied weather conditions
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms
The employee is required to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
The employee is frequently required to lift 10 pounds
This job requires many hours of standing and walking during events and on gameday
The visual requirements include: the ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision, and close vision
Requirements may vary depending on position
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be flexible with schedule, including availability to work over‑time on weekends and evenings as needed
