New Hampshire School Health Care Coalition (SchoolCare) is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and mission-driven leader to serve as its next Executive Director .
Founded in 1995 as the New Hampshire School Health Care Coalition, SchoolCare is a member‑governed public‑entity health risk pool that provides health benefit solutions to New Hampshire school districts and other eligible public employers. Created through a unique partnership among organizations representing both public‑sector management and labor, SchoolCare has built a strong reputation for financial stewardship, stable contribution rates, and collaborative governance.
Headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, SchoolCare is led by a Board of Directors representing labor and management stakeholders and supported by a professional staff. SchoolCare also participates in the Association of Governmental Risk Pools (AGRiP), providing access to national expertise and industry best practices.
Role Overview
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and strategic leader of SchoolCare and reports directly to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for the organization’s strategic direction, financial stewardship, operational leadership, and external representation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction to the organization.
- Ensure financial stewardship and operational leadership.
- Represent SchoolCare externally.
- Balance the interests of employers, employees, and taxpayers while ensuring long‑term sustainability.
- Lead a staff of ten professionals and collaborate with members, policymakers, industry partners, and vendors to support SchoolCare’s mission and strategic priorities.
