Optomi, in partnership with a leading multi-site healthcare provider, is looking for a Director of Cybersecurity to oversee and enhance the organization's security posture across its 700+ outpatient clinics and 7,500+ employees in 18 states.
Position Summary
The Director of Cybersecurity is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role responsible for designing and implementing security tools, managing incident response, and ensuring compliance frameworks evolve to meet the needs of a growing healthcare network. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role is critical to maintaining security governance and threat management while fostering cross-functional collaboration with legal, compliance, and IT teams. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical expert with a proven track record of managing people and executing security initiatives.

What type of experience does the right candidate have
- 10+ years of experience in IT/security, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven hands-on expertise in deploying security tools and managing critical incidents.
- Experience with project management tools like MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
- Healthcare industry experience and familiarity with EMR systems are highly desirable.
