Trades Specialist - Fresno, CA Field based position. Virtual employee in the assigned territory of Fresno, CA, part of the Commercial Construction field sales team.

Responsibilities

Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives through selling DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands.

Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end‑user partners through product and services solutions as well as management of CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs.

Teach and mentor local market team on end‑user development: identifying contacts (trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics, purchasing, etc.), explaining the purchasing process (central and facility), and aligning efforts with local teams, product managers, distributors, and service centers.

Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.

Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool. Communicate successes and failures promptly to improve processes and opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred; relevant construction field experience may be a substitute for higher education.

3+ years of sales or marketing experience for construction supplies with a proven track record delivering results; experience selling to high‑level executives, C‑suite, and job‑site directors preferred.

Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.

Valid driver’s license and physical ability to travel up to 50% within the territory assignment.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Compensation & Benefits The base pay range for this position in California is $75,000 – $90,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
