Product Development – ALPS Within Product Development (PD), Asset Leadership and Portfolio Sciences (ALPS) is responsible for delivering the portfolio of PD assets by aligning strategies, enabling decisions, and working together. One of the key goals of ALPS is to drive the development and execution of integrated CMC strategies to enable the BMS portfolio. The Early Asset and Portfolio Integration team within ALPS brings together project planning and execution, and portfolio management with the vision of simplifying how Product Development runs the business. The Portfolio Scientist collaborates with CMC Leaders, Asset Integration Leaders, and stakeholders in PD/PDS to link CMC strategic plans with enterprise data to enable right‑time decisions to drive the business forward.

Primary Responsibilities for the Portfolio Scientist

Manage portfolio data and systems using SharePoint and PowerApps.

Quality-check portfolio data on a month-end cadence in coordination with Development Team Month-End-Close reporting.

Maintain automated data pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data flow across Planisware, SharePoint, and data products.

Build and refine data visualizations from data pipelines.

Administer SharePoint for all CMC Team sites and ALPS SharePoint in cooperation with other group members.

Assist in generating templated material such as presentation slides to simplify business processes in ALPS.

Collaborate with Asset Integration Leads and CMC Leaders to ensure data from each CMC team is presented uniformly and accurately across the portfolio.

Collaborate with stakeholders across Product Development, R&D, and PDS, including analytics teams, to ensure alignment of data priorities and portfolio analysis goals.

Champion data literacy by educating stakeholders on available tools, dashboards, and metrics to promote self-service and informed decision-making.

Experience / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 6‑10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3‑5 years of relevant scientific and technical experience.

Familiarity with end-to-end CMC drug development with an understanding of critical milestones and typical challenges preferred.

Preferred proficiency in SharePoint, React.js, PowerBI, Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Suite, Python, R, SQL, and Domino.

Compensation Overview New Brunswick, NJ, US: $90,100 – $109,180. The starting compensation range is listed above for a full‑time employee on an FTE basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, location, work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

On‑site Protocol BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. Site‑essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at the assigned facility. Site‑by‑design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at the assigned facility.
